Difficult situations in rounds
A few situations come back in every round. For each there is something in AgileHub that helps.
| Situation | What helps |
|---|---|
| One person dominates the conversation. | Blind writing and simultaneous reveal, votes instead of volume, a time limit per topic. |
| Nobody writes anything. | Switch anonymous notes on, ask a concrete question, extend the writing time. |
| The first cards pull everyone else along. | Reveal only when everyone has chosen. Switch automatic reveal on. |
| Someone should just watch. | Give the role "observer" (planning poker). |
| Someone is in the round uninvited. | Remove the person, lock the session, activate the waiting room or set a PIN. |
| The link was spread too far. | Lock the session; whoever is already in can continue and come back. |
| The connection drops. | The page reconnects by itself and fetches the current state. Nothing that was already sent is lost. |
| The host is gone. | A co-host carries on. The host can hand over the role at any time. |
| The plan's limit is reached. | AgileHub names usage and limit. Input is not lost; a plan change lifts the limit. |
What facilitation does not replace
Tools prevent embarrassment, but they do not create trust. Trust comes from actions really happening – hence the focus on good actions.
